Back with a BANG to colour the walls of the fumbally café in Dublin 8, with our queer art, creations and culture. Sunday the 9th of June 2024, kicking off Pride this year with the best selection of traders from our LGBTQIA+ family.
This year has been transformative for us after the closure of one of our home venues All My Friends Bar. We started Quirk Market with the idea of opening safer spaces for our queer creatives to trade for their audiences, and engage in a closer way with their customers. Sadly, the closure of venues, bars, art studios and historical buildings in the city, has stopped us from running markets, until we find a better space for us.
The LGBTQIA+ Community in Ireland is mixed, diverse and constantly changing. We demand public spaces where we can create culture. We demand better facilities for small businesses to grow organically and make a living out of it. We are empowering our community but we need more support.
This Pride edition of Quirk is dedicated to all our traders, vendors, artists, creators and fiends who have developed their brands with us. We see them growing and our hearts are proud!
